The Life and Times Of M.Boom

Sounds like a Party, feels like a JOB.

There is a common misconception about DJs and DJing in general. Most people think that if you are a DJ you are getting paid to party. Not true. In fact, what looks like fun from the outside can truly be a hectic and nerve racking experience on the inside. I have personally had nights where everything goes wrong and you end up fumbling behind the both and looking like a dumbass. There has been a time in every DJ’s career where their equipment goes out in the middle of a show and you have to stall and recover or even a time when the a CD mysteriously obtains scratches from our apartment to the gig and starts skipping in the middle of your set. There are also times when people consistently ask you for ridiculous songs that don’t fit what you are playing and no one will like but they themselves. Usually if you don’t play their song they give you a dirty drunken look and curse you out. DJing has its moments but its not all fun and games. It’s not a party, it’s a job, and like all jobs it has its perks and its downsides. That’s all I have to say about that.
