This is a pretty sick T-Shirt being sold (and worn on set by Michel Bay himself) at http://www.michaelbay.com. I personally grew up watching Transformers as a child on Saturday mornings so I was really excited when they first announced the live action movie. I can’t wait until it comes this 4th of July weekend, I’m sure it will make a buttload of money. I don’t know if I would necessarily buy this shirt and wear it around but I really like the idea of having a shirt that says Giant fucking robots are coming. Did I mention that the profits go to charity? All dorkyness aside, I think that in its own way the shirt is an adult way to pay homage to a cartoon/comic that a lot of us grew up and considered “cool” back in the day. Hopefully, the next generation of snotty nose kids will also see how cool Transformers really are. Check out the T-Shirt, let me know what you think.
It’s True. I didn’t believe it myself at first but it’s true. The good people over at JoBlo.com have confirmed that the new Hulk movie, entitle “The Incredible Hulk”, will sport the academy award nominated Edward Norton as the lead role. According to Jo, the film will go into production this summer under the direction of Louis Leterrier, who directed ‘Unleashed’ and both ‘Transporter’ movies. The movie currently has a tentative release date of June 13th 2008 but nothing is set in stone yet. The new Hulk is said to be more of a remake than a sequel to the previous -I personally enjoyed the previous Hulk movie and thought Bana was a great Bruce Banner (didn’t care too much for Nolte though…). Overall, the addition of Norton to this franchise will undoubtedly improve its credentials. I can’t wait to see someone make him angry! I would love to see someone make him angry!
I guess most people know her best from Dirty Dancing with Patrick Swayze but to me, Jennifer Grey will always be the bitchy Jeanie Bueller from Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. I recently came across a picture of what this actress looks like now and was extremely surprised at that difference in her appearance. Maybe I’m out of the Jennifer Grey loop but I remember that back in the 80’s she always played the “ugly duckling” roles and I have to guess that this bothered her to the point of seeking professional help for her for her looks. After doing a little research online I came across a number of sources that stated that after 1995 Grey took a few years out of the spotlight and when she came back in 1999, on the ABC sitcom It’s Like, You Know…, she was sporting a brand new look. Apparently, Grey has had rhinoplasty (nose surgery) several times to “correct minor flaws”. The ugly duckling is now a swan. Other sources have even speculated about her possibly having had additional plastic surgery including breast implants, a “face life” and even a “tummy tuck”. The surgery never really made Grey’s career take off and she has ultimately been doomed to “made for TV films” and sitcoms that that never really go anywhere (sad, her career seemed a lot more promising when she was an ugly duckling). Personally, I never really thought she was unattractive but now I do think she looks fake. However, this is all not as heart wrenching as the fact that not only has someone put Baby in the corner but someone has even put Baby on the operating table and turned her into a “Hollywoodized” version of the real thing.
