HOW TO DOWNLOAD SONGS

I use Soundcloud.com to embed flash players in posts.  These players enable users to listen to songs before downloading.  They are sometimes in different sizes and colors but they all have the same functionality.  You can use the buttons on the soundcloud player to download, embed on your own site, change the volume, share, etc. etc.

Sometimes I post songs that you cannot download right away.  I label these posts ‘Just Listen‘.  If these songs become downloadable at a later date I may update the post so please check back.

Sometimes songs are hosted on 3rd party sites like mediafire.  On sites like these, you can usually download the song by right clicking and selecting “Save Target As” or just look for a ‘Download’ button.  Many times I put the download link right off the image so you can try clicking on the picture to download the song. I will call this out on the post when possible.

Songs come in mp3 format and will be at 128kpbs when possible.

VIDEOS

Videos are usually posted in HD for best quality.   At the current moment I cannot post videos for download but this option may be available from 3rd party sites.

SPOTLIGHT YOUR MUSIC

If you are an up-and-coming artist and have music that you would like to spotlight on the site, please use the Soundcloud drop box in the sidebar (OR THIS LINK: http://soundcloud.com/mikeyboom/dropbox).  Along with song upload, please send full bio, tour dates, and contact info to mikeyboom@gmail.com.  I will contact you when spotlight content is ready or if I need any addition info.

RATINGS/COMMENTS

Please rate tracks from 1-10 using the stars at the bottom of the posts.  1 is the lowest rating, 10 is the highest.  You do not need to be a registered user to rate songs.  Same goes for comments.  Anyone can comment on any post at anytime.  No need to register.

FACEBOOK/TWITTER

Each post has FACEBOOK and TWITTER share buttons.  If you like a post/song you can share it to your TWITTER or FACEBOOK account by clicking on the button.  Simple as that.

PICTURES

Pictures of artists are hosted on 3rd party sites.  If you would like me to show your picture on an original mix of yours please send the image to MikeyBoom@gmail.com
